Photos: my boyfriend and I.

Après une semaine passée à Hong Kong, je me suis retranchée pour un week end avec mon chéri dans un coin de verdure paradisiaque: Yangshuo.
Connue et méconnue à la fois, cette région a une sacrée particularité: des collines hautes et fines à perte de vue.
Pour avoir longtemps admiré un grand nombre d’encres de chine, voir ces paysages en vrai était vraiment impressionnant.
Voguer sur un radeau le long de la rivière et voir les montagnes se refléter dans l’eau, magique !
Et sillonner les chemins à vélo pendant des heures … quel dépaysement !
Pour ceux qui comptent aller en Chine un jour, c’est un endroit que je recommande chaudement.
Il est en tout cas fort agréable d’aller y respirer un peu d’air frais, surtout après un séjour dans l’une des grandes villes de l’empire du milieu.

After a week in Hong Kong, my sweetheart and I ran away to Yangshuo for a weekend of blissful greenery.
Both famous and undiscovered at the same time, the area is graced with one heck of a distinctive feature: tall narrow peaks, as far as the eye can see.
I have been a big fan of Chinese brush drawings for a long time, so finally getting to see these landscapes in person was truly impressive.
Sailing the river on a raft with the mountains reflecting off the water… nothing short of magical!
Riding around on bikes, criss-crossing the country roads for hours… positively exotic!
If any of you are planning on making it out to China one day, I highly recommend this stopover.
It’s the perfect place to go for a bit of fresh air, especially after having sojourned in one of the largest cities of the Central Kingdom.

Aaaaaaaaah ! Yangshuo ! Superbe village à côté de Guilin… traditionnel mais assez touristique. J’ai trop kiffé l’an dernier quand j’y suis allée pour qlq jours à la fin de mon semestre pour fêter la fin des exams. La Chine me manque… profites-en bien.

I have been to Yangshuo before and your pictures have done it grace. The place is full of little beauties that you have captured with your camera. I highly recommend taking a one-day boat ride to Yangshuo from Guilin. Mangifique!

Guess what? My favorite place in China was Yanshuo:
Those beautiful mountains, the men with the cormorants which they use to catch fishes (have you seen that?)
and I bought a beautiful big chinese fan at a lovely local market. It was such a great place and I really want to go back there now I see all your photos!!

Yang shuo is like a countryside of China..so the sense is very different from Hongkong and Shanghai.

c’est la première fois que je laisse un comment sur ton blog. Il est super, tes photos sont toujours sublimes.
Je pars en Chine 1 mois cet été et Yangshuo fait parti de mon itinéraire, je voulais savoir si en 1 weekend vous avez eu suffisamment de temps pour en profiter ou si tu conseillerais d’y rester un peu plus?

C’est sur qu’après le tumulte de HK ça doit être vraiment apaisant d’être dans un endroit comme ça où la nature est aussi impressionnante .. ces montagnes sont vraiment sublimes, c’est sûr que je n’oublierais pas cet endroit si je devais aller en Chines un jour ( peut être tiens d’ailleurs .. )

Que de souvenirs ! Yanshuo fut ma ville préférée, plus que la détestable Shanghai ou l’impérieuse Pékin. Les grandes villes sont décevantes. Avez-vous visité Chengdu, Guilin ?

MAGNIFIQUES PHOTOS de Yangshuo !! J’y suis allée également en 2007 lors d’un voyage en Chine, arrivée la nuit et tout juste distinguer les ombres des montagnes partout autour de soit et au réveil… en prendre plein la vue ! Ces photos sont vraiment superbes, merci beaucoup de les partager, au-delà du paysage extraordinaire, il y a vraiment l’atmosphère de Yangshuo dans ces photos
PS : J’ai aussi une photo avec les cormorans mais pas le même monsieur !! :)

OH Alix, j’adore ta série de photos sur la Chine. Je trouve que tu es très douée pour capter les atmosphères de lieux où tu voyages. Textures, couleurs… ç’est incroyable comme ta série de photo me fait rêver. Tout cela est d’une finesse^^

Salut Alix, nous planifions de partir en Chine cet automne, je me suis souvenue de tes magnifiques photos de la région de Yangshuo. J’imagine que tu es déjà très occupée… mais si tu as un peu de temps, est-ce que tu pourrais me donner qqs bonnes adresses?
