Oh, the 70s!
A lot of people consider it one of the worst decades for fashion.
I, on the other hand, love them! I love the 70s for the music, and I love them for the clothes. It is also an era that was graced with quite a vibe!
I decided to try to recreate that vibe by grouping together some of the clothes and objects I own that I associate with those years.
Hey, just because I was born in 1985 doesn’t mean I can’t take a little trip back in time! Are you ready to be blasted back to the past? I’m turning on the time machine… let’s go!
–
Music: America – A horse with no name
–
( Teppaz )
A record player: essential for immersing oneself into the sounds of the 70s.
–
Un mini short, porté avec un blouse.
( American Apparel shorts, Chloé blouse )
Short shorts, worn with a blouse.
–
Le hippie book, idéal pour l’inspiration !
( Hippies by Barry Miles )
The hippie book; ideal for inspiration!
–
Des compensées.
( Vintage )
Wedges.
–
Une robe à l’imprimé psychédélique.
( zara )
A psychedelic print dress.
–
Une miniature du van de mes rêves.
( Ebay )
A miniature version of the van of my dreams.
–
( topshop jumsuit and wedges, vintage belt )
A romper, worn with a woven belt and wedges.
–
( Vintage sunglasses )
Huge bug-eyed glasses; can be worn with or without the wide-brimmed hat.

This is so amazing, there is a 70s street party in the city of Sydney this weekend to celebrate how a historic area (The Rocks) was saved from demolition in the 1970s — and I was just wondering what I was going to wear!!! Well done Alix for your preternatural timing!

Salut!
I’m very sorry, I can’t speak enough french to ask you this, hope you don’t mind english.
Anyway, I was just thinking, how tall are you? Because you seem soooo tall, like me, but still you can wear awesome heels and wedges without looking like a tree or something.
And the other thing, what’s your story, briefly? I know you have a lot of work to do without my pointless questions, but I do hope you could tell me about your education and stuff.
I’m going to spend a year in France as en exchange-student and I just adore France! And I adore your blog, haha :D.
Well anyway, hope you have a lovely spring !

Worst decade? Who are these people? The 70s = the best decade ever. The best for music, fashion, public figures, literature, everything. I’d like to give these people a serious talking to. Van Morrison, Jimi Hendrix, Chris Bell, The Doors, The Clash, The Kinks, The Byrds…..the list goeso on. My closet it chalk full of 70s dresses and I intend to acquire more. So in short, I completely agree with you.

I try not to visit the blog too often but want it to be like a treat, something extraordinary, as your blog is not something you should be able to take for granted. It’s faaar to special. And you are ever so talented in many ways – at photography, writing (both in English and French) and fashion! Fantastic!
Secondly, I was wondering where the black little dress your friend wore in London was bought? I absolutely fell in love with it and would love to buy it…?! :)
Take care! Lots of love and hugs /Emma

Hello there beautiful girl!
Have I got it right that you live in Paris?
I and my friend are going there in a month, for a few days, and I’m so much looking forward to it! so I would like to ask you what places are the best for vintage and second hand shopping, and do you know any nice markets and other nice shops? I guess you get this question quite often but an answer would make me more than happy.
