Comme promis, je vous emmène faire un petit tour aux Seychelles.

Nous avons été conviés par un très bel hôtel, le Banyan Tree Seychelles, à y séjourner.

Je n’avais pas vu la plage et la mer depuis longtemps, et c’était surtout une très belle occasion de découvrir un pays inconnu !

Nous sommes arrivés sous un soleil radieux, et le long de la petite route qui nous amenait de l’aéroport à l’hôtel, la végétation luxuriante et les plages me rappelaient beaucoup l’île de Moorea, en Polynésie… à quelques détails près: les Seychelles sont connues pour leurs plages avec de très grands rochers !

Je savais déjà que j’allais séjourner dans un très bel hôtel. Le Banyan Tree est installé à l’emplacement des anciennes résidences de Peter Sellers et George Harrison. Il a dû y en avoir des « groovy parties » dans les environs !

A peine arrivée, je suis immédiatement tombée amoureuse de bâtiment principal, très colonial.

Celui-ci surplombait la plage privée de l’hôtel, et je peux le dire sans aucune hésitation: avec son relief bordé de végétation et son eau cristalline, c’est l’une des plus belles plages que j’ai pu voir !

J’ai même pu y apercevoir une tortue de mer très tôt le matin, et c’était un cadre juste merveilleux au coucher du soleil.

Nous étions justement installés dans une villa avec un accès direct sur la plage, et c’était vraiment magique ! Je ne sais pas combien de temps j’ai passé sur cette plage, mais elle me manque déjà !

Il y a aussi des villas dans les hauteurs avec un magnifique panorama sur la mer. Nichées au creux de la forêt, celles-ci bénéficiaient d’une ambiance plus fraîche … car oui il faisait très chaud !

Banyan Tree est une chaîne d’hôtel de luxe qui s’étend principalement en Asie, mais aussi au Mexique et aux Maldives.

Je ne le savais pas encore, mais maintenant impossible de l’oublier vu que j’y ai eu le meilleur massage de toute ma vie: Banyan Tree c’est aussi une institution dans le domaine du SPA ( au point où ils ont même ouvert leur propre école ), qui se concentre principalement autour de la thérapie Thaïlandaise.

J’ai fait le tour de la propriété, qui est étonnement spacieuse, et j’ai trouvé très chouette de visiter le potager qui sert aux cuisiniers des trois restaurants, ainsi que la  » Turtle Nursery « . Un espace où les très jeunes tortues de mer sont recueillies et soignées avant leur remise en liberté.

Les Seychelles sont aussi connues pour une autre sorte de tortue, mais comme j’ai déjà beaucoup parlé, je reviendrai dessus dans un prochain article !

As promised, I’m taking you for a little tour of the Seychelles.

We were invited to stay by the very beautiful Hotel Banyan Tree Seychelles.

It’s been a while since I’ve seen some sand and the sea, and it was very exciting to discover a new country !

We arrived on a very sunny day, and the landscapes seen on the road from the airport to the hotel reminded me a lot of Moorea, French Polynesia. Except that the Seychelles have beaches with huge rocks, and are really famous for that.

I knew already I was going to stay in a magnificent hotel. It is built on the same location as what used to be Peter Sellers and George Harrison’s properties ( there must have been some groovy parties in the area at the time ).

Just arrived, and I was already madly in love with the main building, overlooking the hotel’s private beach.

And what a beach ! With its green surrouding and clear water, I can say without any hesitation that this is one of the most beautiful beaches I’ve ever seen.

I even saw a sea turtle very early in the morning, and it was just breathtaking at sunset.

We were staying in a gorgeous villa with a direct access on the beach, so it was truly magical. I don’t know how much time I spent on that beach, but I miss it already.

There are also villas on the hills with an ocean view. Nestled in the forest,  these were perfect for a fresher atmosphere, as it was really hot !

Banyan Tree is a luxury hotel brand with resorts mainly in Asia, but Also in Mexico and the Maldives.

I didn’t know it yet, but now I had the best massage in my entire life it’s just impossible to forget: Banyan Tree is also an institution for SPA ( to the point they even opened their own school ), which focuses mainly around the Thaï therapy .

I had a little tour of the property, which was surprisingly spacious, and really liked visiting the gardens where the vegetables for the restaurant grow, and the turle nursery. a place where very young are kept and treated before their release.

Speaking of turtles, the Seychelles are also known for another kind of turtles, but I’m keeping that for my next article !
