Un peu de mignonnerie en ce lundi matin.
Toujours à Chamonix, on se baladait lorsque la neige a commencé à tomber. Et des flocons énormes !
J’avais sorti Iris de sa poussette pour qu’elle profite du spectacle, et je ne l’ai jamais vu aussi heureuse et excitée !

What about something cute on this monday morning ?
Still in Chamonix, we were strolling around when it started snowing.
And some huge snowflakes !
I took Iris in my arms so she could enjoy the scenery, and I can honestly say I’ve never seen her so happy and excited before !

4 810 m, c’est la hauteur du Mont-Blanc.
Je ne suis pas montée tout en haut, bien entendu, mais grimper jusqu’à 3 842 m pour atteindre le point culminant de l’aiguille du midi, c’était déjà pas mal !
De là, on peut avoir une belle vue sur le Mont-Blanc lorsque ce n’est pas trop nuageux.
J’avais déjà tenté de m’y rendre les deux années précédentes, mais le temps était tellement mauvais que j’avais vite oublié l’idée.
Alors quand une matinée très ensoleillée s’est profilée à l’horizon, j’ai sauté sur l’occasion !
Le matin, les téléphériques sont replis par les sportifs qui font la descente dans la journée. On est serrés comme des sardines, coincés entre une paire de ski et un snowboard, mais l’ambiance est sympa ! ( Sauf si vous avez le malheur de bousculer un grincheux ! )
J’y suis juste allé pour profiter du paysage, et quelle vue !
En redescendant, j’étais bien à l’ouest à cause de l’altitude, mais ça en valait vraiment le coup.
La prochaine fois, j’aimerais bien tenter la mer de glace et son petit train du Montenvers ! ( Si vous avez essayé, n’hésitez pas à me donner votre avis ! )
Et la doudoune rouge sinon, c’est très Walter Mitty non? on va se faire la totale du cinéma à Chamonix ! :p

4 810 meters is the height of the Mont-Blanc.
I didn’t end up on top of course, but went 3 842 m to reach the highest point of Aiguille du Midi, and that’s not bad at all ! When it’s not too clouded, you can have a nice view on the Mont-Blanc.
I tried to go there twice the years before, but every time the weather was so awful that I quickly forgot the idea.
So when a sunny morning suddenly appeared, I just rushed !
In the morning the cabins are crowded. You are squeezed between a pair of skis and a snowboard, but otherwise the atmosphere is great ( unless you have the misfortune to unintentionally push someone who’s grumpy ! ).
Ski will be later, as I just went this time to enjoy the scenery. And what a view !
On the way down, I was feeling a little bit dizzy because of the altitude, but it was so worth it !
Next time, I’m planning to try the train of Montenvers, to see the mer de glace !
Apart from that, my red coat is very Walter Mitty no ? Sounds like Chamonix is all about movies ! :p

Quelques photos de Chamonix, où j’ai passé une petite semaine de vacances.
C’est la troisième année que j’y vais et j’aime toujours autant les paysages et la ville, même quand le soleil n’est pas au rendez-vous. Et puis il y a le fameux Mont-Blanc !
Avec la montagne derrière certains bâtiments, il se dégage comme une ambiance de Grand Budapest Hotel. Un film que j’adore !
J’ai passé pas mal de temps avec Iris, l’occasion de tester les mini-skis que j’avais achetés pour ma Cybex. Une petite fantaisie qui m’a étonnamment bien servie lors de nos nombreuses balades. Ce n’est pas tous les jours que l’on peut se promener sur de la neige en poussette !

A few pictures from Chamonix, where I spent my last vacations.
For those who are not familiar with Chamonix, it’s the location of the famous Mont-Blanc in the French Alps. The highest mountain in Europe.
It’s the third time I go there, and I’m still completely in love with the landscapes and the little town. It all looks so pretty, even when the sun isn’t there.
With mountains in the background, some buildings reminded me of The Grand Budapest Hotel. A film that I love !
I spent a lot of time with Iris, and we tried something fun with our Cybex Priam, adding some mini-skis that I purchased! As fun as it may look, it ended up being pretty useful. It’s not everyday that you can venture on snow with a stroller !
