J’ai énormément aimé le côté ancien de certains quartiers de la ville de Melbourne, le vieux tram, les boutiques vintage et de certaines enseignes peintes à la main.
Avant d’arriver à St Kilda, jolie plage située en Banlieue de la ville, nous nous sommes arrêtées dans une belle boutique de déco sur Chapel street ( Tarlo & Graham ), et nous sommes amusées à faire un photomaton ( vintage lui aussi ! ).
On a dégusté un délicieux caramel slice chez Monarch, puis un Burger chez Barney Hallen’s ( avec de la betterave dedans, un régal ! )

I really loved the vintage feel in some areas of Melbourne, The old tram, the second hand stores, and some hand painted signs.
Before we arrived in St Kilda, a lovely beach located in the suburb, we stopped at Tarlo & Graham, a great decoration store on Chapel street, and had fun in an old Photobooth !
We had a delicious caramel slice at Monarch, followed by a burger at Barney Hallen’s ( with beets in it, yum ! )

Oh I love Chapel Street! Make sure you check out Madame Brussels whilst you are in Melbourne – it’s one of my favourite places in the world. Tucked away in an old building, it’s an indoor vintage style « garden » cafe, complete with astro turf, pink furniture & Pims! <3

Melbourne looks wonderful. I lived there last year and it is an amazing city. I miss it a bit everyday.
When you go to Sydney you should check out the vintage store Grandma Takes A Trip located near Oxford St. Also if you have any more time left in Melb you need to go to Fitzroy! Fitzroy is the coolest alternative/indie kind of area of town. You will find heaps of great vintage shops, regulare shops, cute cafées, bars, opshops etc. here. Especially Getrude St. and Smith St. Catch tram 112 from Swantson and Colins St.

I cannot believe you were in St Kilda! I went to school at the National Theatre on the next corner up from Ackland street and got coffee at Monarch every Sunday! You should go to the suburb of Camberwell, especially mailing road they have beautiful old houses and shops.

Really enjoyed the photos of our lovely Melbourne. Just spent my daughters birthday at Luna Park in St Kilda and rode the antique merry go round. My mum has a picture of herself on the very same Carousel when she was a little girl.
